Flip back weather strip

I like how the weather strip functions, but in just over two years it was cracking and splitting everywhere. The cost of the replacement part is reasonable enough, but the time and effort it takes to replace it is not a small feat. Having to possibly need to do this replacement every two years is disappointing. To be fair though, I do live in a very sunny, hot climate, but I would hope with today's technology, the weather stripping would be more resistant to cracking, splitting, and/or UV damage. I guess I will have to apply a rubber UV protectant coating quite frequently to try and extend the weather stripping's usable life, as well as the hinge-seals that join the panels together which are also now failing. I liked that the weather strip was easy to find on the parts page for the Flip-Back Tonneau, but the hinge-seals were only available through an overly complicated process and had to be requested and ordered via chat or phone call. From a customer perspective, every replacement part involved in the products we purchase should be readily available and ordered with ease. The hinge seals can only be replaced if you remove the weather strip seals so, I feel they should also be offered as a complete replacement set. Customer support was good though. Overall, I'm very pleased with the tonneau and customer support, so I gave it a 4 star review . . . I'm just disappointed in the short life span of the rubber materials involved.
